Can we become the driving force behind the introduction of an unconditional basic income?
A new concept for the landing page
In collaboration with MeinGrundeinkommen, research was conducted on how the organization can establish itself more prominently as a hub for information about unconditional basic income in Germany. The challenge was to move away from the image of the ‚Basic Income Lottery‘ without completely neglecting the distribution of basic incomes.
For this purpose, a Design Sprint was chosen as a suitable format, where a concept is tested directly with the target audience to gather valuable feedback.

Can we simplify the topic for our target audience?
With our prototype, we were able to create easy access to the content for the test participants. The structure basically enables an in-depth introduction via various focal points.

Can we establish enough trust to be the basic income authority?
Rather yes – The website was perceived as serious and professional. Deductions were made by the older participants, who were more skeptical about the actors and financing.

Can we integrate the lottery and basic income education seamlessly?
Partly – it was not immediately clear to some participants that it was not exclusively about the lottery. The concept of the lottery (money on top) was understood as the concept of an unconditional basic income advocated by the association.

So, what’s next?
After handing over the artifacts and detailed user feedback, I defined key recommendations and possible next steps for Mein Grundeinkommen to move forward with the project. This included recommending a second iteration of the prototype, structuring the current content on the platform and clearly defining exactly how their idea of a basic income in Germany should work in order to make this tangible for their target audience.
So, what’s next?
